Key Pompey trio ready to return - but which of them will walk into starting line-up?

John Mousinho is set to have three key members of his squad available after injury when Pompey entertain Millwall on Saturday - but are all three guaranteed starts?

The boss has said a number of times that Nico Schmid, Callum Lang nand Adrian Segecic are all on course to be fit to face the Lions after lengthy lay-offs.

That is a big boost for a squad who have been badly hit by injuries this season and who have struggled for results and goals in recent weeks, but do all three of the returnees alk straight back into the starting line-up.

Our best guess is that two - Schmid and Lang - do, but Segecic will have to wait for his chance off the bench.

Mousinho spoke to The News about trying to get all his best players fit at the same time and said: 'It’s felt like that over the past couple of weeks anyway, particularly with Murph coming back and being such a key player for us.

‘He’s been an important player for us and we also know how much of an impact Langy’s had over the past couple of seasons at the football club. He was outstanding when we signed him in the middle of the League One-winning season and has carried that on. He’s carried that form into the Championship and been even better.

‘Having those faces back, having Segs back and the likes of Nico to boost everything as well is a benefit. Having those three back for the Millwall game is definitely going to lift us and intensify competition in the squad.’

Elsewhere in the squad, The News says striker Franco Umeh is expected to be in full training this week, with a similar story true of Harvey Blair. But that of course leaves still missing.
