Collins on way back? Not so simple for Sam?

Neil Collins in line for an Elland Road return say Sky Sports...but the Bradford T&A say Lloyd Sam deal far from complete.

Sky Sports claimed on Tuesday night that Neil Collins is on the verge of an Elland Road reunion with Simon Grayson and his team.

The 26-year-old Preston defender spent the last throw of last season on-loan at Leeds and has been told that he is not part of Darren Ferguson's plans.

Fergyscum JNR has brought in two defenders in the shape of Craig Morgan and BNP man Wayne Brown, so according to Murdoch INC Collins has been told he can leave and has agreed a three-year deal to pick up from where he left off last season.

Collins did a steady enough job last season and his addition would be welcome to help bolster a defence which at times, hit by injury and loss of form, looked vulnerable last term.

If Sky feel that this is a certainty, even though the club have yet to announce anything then Lloyd Sam to Leeds is a deal far from done.

On Monday, it was widely reported that the Leeds born winger was heading back to the city of his birth from Charlton on a Bosman free. Tonight's Bradford Telegraph and Argus claim that Sam is also wanted by Crystal Palace, Leicester and Coventry.

Sam hit four goals in 47 appearances for the Addicks last-season. Having failed to reach the Championship, Charlton apparently cannot afford to offer him a new-deal and his agent has been busy talking up his value to the papers.

Personally I think it is a bit of a dead-link, Leeds like to do their business on the QT and Sam's agent blabbing off is not really United's style these days.
