Scottish Police hunt Leeds winger!

Tonights YEP claim that Scottish Police have been issued an arrested warrant to detain Robert Snodgrass.

The Leeds winger is a wanted man in connection with....a parking offence in Glasgow last February.

Fans fearing another high-profile Bowyer, Woodgate, Duberry and Hackworth type trial to drag the good name of the club through the mud again fear not - Snodders apparently commited the henious crime of parking on a Pelican Crossing in Glasgow's Duke Street nearly a year ago!

However it is his failure to appear in court which has upset the Scottish legal system. Snodders should have attended last August, but failed to show up and did so again on 20th January.

Leeds fans with visions of Strathclydes finest heading south with a warrant and pair of handcuffs were allayed by a club spokesmen, who told the Evening Post is was a "misunderstanding".

However justice can be swift and merciless in those parts (notwithstanding the decision to release the Libyan Pan Am bomber of course!) - lets hope it has all blown over by the time Leeds next take to the field at Hull a week tomorrow.

It's a bit ridiculous to expect him to get to Glasgow on Thursday between playing in the FA Cup replay in Leeds and going to Portsmouth. They should get their priorities right!
