After making a substitute appearance for Derby on Saturday - RamZone has put together a full player profile on Ryan Noble so Rams fans can find out exactly who their new hitman is!

Ryan Noble was born on the 11th of June 1991 in Sunderland -

Noble has been a Black Cat since the very beginning having come through the club's youth academy.

The 6 foot striker made his first professional appearance for Sunderland on the 2nd of January 2010, coming on as a substitute in a 3 - 0 FA Cup victory against Barrow.

In March of 2010 Ryan was loaned to Watford for the remainder of the season but unfortunately failed to make a single appearance for the club due to injury.

Noble was expected to become a regular member of the Sunderland squad during the following season but after not even being given a squad number he was loaned to Derby in October 2010 as part of an emergency loan deal.

He went one better than his time at the Hornets making one appearance for the Rams as a substitute, before a back injury sent him back to the Stadium of Light.

The back injury kept Noble out of action for six months but once fit again returned to his goal scoring ways for the reserves by scoring seven goals in his first five games.

He was rewarded for his fine form with his league debut for the first team, coming from the bench as Sunderland lost against Everton on 26 February 2011.

Noble's next appearance also came as a substitute, in Sunderland's 2–0 defeat at Birmingham City on 16 April.

An injury crisis meant that Noble was in line to make his first start for Sunderland against Fulham. However, Noble himself picked up an injury during a youth team game, ruling him out of the game and leaving the team with no fit strikers. One could have started to wonder if he was playing for the Black Cats or had instead let one cross his path.

On 16 November 2011, Noble bagged a reserve team hat-trick during a 3-0 win against local rivals Newcastle United at the Stadium of Light.

This prompted a return to first-team action as a substitute in the 0-0 draw with Fulham the following Saturday, however he was subsequently omitted from the squad altogether for the next match versus Wigan Athletic despite Sunderland continuing to struggle for goals.

On 29 November, Noble returned to reserve team action, scoring a six-minute hat-trick as Sunderland thrashed Scunthorpe 7-1. Sunderland manager Steve Bruce was sacked two days later, and replaced by Martin O'Neill. He then scored 4 goals against Manchester United in a reserve match on 8th December 2011.

Despite his continual goal scoring performances (13 to date this season for the reserves) it seemed he was not in the first team plans of the new manager as yet and on the 18th of January 2012 Nigel Clough once again signed the striker on loan for a month.

Ryan Noble has also appeared on six occasions for the England U19 team and scored once versus Bosnia in 2010.

After signing Noble for the second time Nigel Clough was pleased to have another chance to see the striker strut his stuff in a Rams shirt:

"When Ryan arrived last season we labelled him as a striker with a good reputation for scoring goals, and his form in recent months for Sunderland's reserves suggests he hasn't lost his touch.”

"He has scored a hat-trick against Scunthorpe United, four against Manchester United and also found the net against Arsenal inside the last month, so he certainly arrives here in very good form.”

"Ryan will provide another option for us up front and he's coming into a squad brimming with confidence, creating chances and scoring goals, so it's as good a time as any to be joining us.”

"We like Ryan, he's a very good player and he can get goals so it's great to have him on board and I'd like to thank Martin O'Neill and Sunderland for agreeing to loan him out to us."

Ryan Noble was sure he would finally show Derby fans what he is capable of during his second stint at Pride Park:

"I'm ready to make an impact this time."

"It's fantastic to be back and as soon as Derby wanted me, there was only one place I wanted to come to. The first time I was here it didn't quite work out but I've come back this time and hopefully I can show what I can do out on the pitch.”

"I was just getting into my stride before I got injured last year. I came off the bench away at Swansea and did really well, but than an injury related to a stress fracture I had in my back previously caused me a few problems.”

"Since then I've come back and played a few Premier League games, so hopefully I can draw on those experiences and I think I'm a better player and a bit better prepared to make an impact this time around."

"I've been in good form for the reserves and hopefully I can show what I can do by stepping up to first-team level in the Championship and score a few goals if I can. The aim is to play some games and score a few goals too, which I think I can do. I want to prove I'm good enough to score goals at this level.”

"The team has been doing well so I know I've got my work cut out to force my way into the team. They've won six matches from seven so I hope I can help the team keep that run going and keep climbing the table.”
