Former loan player Matthew Barnes-Homer has joined Macclesfield Town on a free transfer after a spell playing football in Sweden.

MBH will be remembered by Dale fans for many years for all the wrong reasons, after a disastrous spell on loan in which he showed exactly why he wasn't able to get into Luton's first team, and he was released by the Hatters not long after leaving Dale.

He then joined Swedish third division side Ostersunds FK who are managed by former Macc defender Graham Potter who hasn't been seen since a certain shoulder barge by Lee McEvilly back in 2002.
