TRANSFER: Third Norwegian club enters Huseklepp race
TRANSFER: Third Norwegian club enters Huseklepp race

A third Norwegian club is now in the race to sign Pompey striker Erik Huseklepp.

After interest from Rosenberg and his former club Brann Bergen, Valerenga have enquired about the player according to reports in Norway.

Valerenga manager Martin Andresen knows Huseklepp well from their time together in Brann, where Huseklepp played until 2011.

'I have no comment on this, and I do not have anything to say before anything concrete to report,' said Huseklepp's agent Tore Pedersen when asked about Valerenga's interest.

Equally tightlipped was Andresen himself: 'We never comment on speculation about players before something real to report.'

Yesterday it was revealed that several businesses were clubbing together to help Brann raise the cash to bring Huseklepp 'home'.

Huseklepp is in limbo in the UK after he was left out of Michael Appleton's squad for the pre-season trip to Spain.
