Swansea's Foreign Legion

JackArmy.net took to the road to find out a bit more about the players in question and whether they were any good. And what better way to do that then to ask one of the players that has been in training with them this week?
On Mamody Sidibe. "He's a tall guy, a bit on the lanky side but he does put himself about a bit. He is very quick and useful with the ball, this one could be a useful addition to the squad."
And of course, today we had the arrival of two Argentinians, Nicolas Mazzine is a product of the Boca Juniors Youth Development system and has represented his country at Under-23 level whilst Marcos Lencina is a former Argentine Under-21 cap.
South American players are generally known for silky skills and nice touches although, as the Germans will testify from the World Cup Final of 1990 they like to put themselves about a bit as well.
We asked the question of our man at the Vetch and the response was a bit surprising "Considering it was their first day of training, they did put themselves about a bit. There were some two footed challenges going in from them and, as wih Mamody, they look a bit useful"
"John Hollins is working with a very tight budget (site note: translate that as nil budget) and this is the sort of thing that he needs to do. He is looking at players to make sure that they are right before signing them on"
It sounds as if these players may play a part in next season which should make the language barrier fun in the dressing room. French, Aussie and Argentinian accents will be fun to decipher when John delivers his enlightening half-time team talks.
