Poortvliet Blames Supporter Negativity Saturday, 24th Jan 2009 09:22 Jan Poortvliet is quite clear on where he lays the blame for his departure. In an in depth interview in tonight Daily Echo Jan Poortvliet desribes his time at St Mary's as a beautiful adventure, however he feels that his departure id due to a darker side of the club. In the Daily Echo interview Poortvliet said he had been stunned by the “negativity” from the crowd during last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Doncaster at St Mary’s. He also acknowledged that the defeat against Doncaster had been the final straw for him.
