R's Reserves Beaten at Watford.

An unfamiliar Rangers Reserve side were beaten 2-1 by Watford at Borehamwood this evening.

When I say unfamiliar, I mean that the team was made up of Youth players and six trialists with Angelo Balanta being the only player with any first team experience. Also, due to minor injuries to both keepers, Matt Pickens and Reece Crowther, along with long term absentee, Jake Cole, first team coach David Rouse was in goal for the R's.

However, Rangers were ahead after 5 minutes after Chris Arthur's defelcted free kick found it's way into the Watford net. But despite the R's early domination, the hosts were ahead at the break through a Liam Henderson penalty and a goal from Gibson on the stroke of half time. Angelo Balanta impressed for Rangers on the night and was closest to grabbing an equaliser in the second half, only to be denied by Mart Poom in the Watford goal.

QPR Reserves: David Rouse, Emmanuel Ugo Udoji, Joe Ostler, Elliott Braithwaite, Femi Kesanmi, Romone Rose, Matt O'Brien, Andreas Govas, Chris Arthur, Ben Hunt, Angelo Balanta. Subs: Lee Brown, Danny Maguire, Aaron Morgan-Cummings, Josh Ford, Terry Smith

The reserves are next in action at away to Millwall on Tuesay 8th April, kick off 2pm.

QPR Reserve Home matches are played at Loftus Road Stadium. Kick off 7.00pm unless otherwise indicated.
