7 - Hogan Ephraim Friday, 27th Jun 2008 00:02 Hogan Ephraim returned to QPR permanently in January 2008 after a successful loan spell in W12. DOB - 31/03/88 Ephraim joined QPR on loan from West Ham a week before the start of the 2007/08 season. He impressed as a substitute against Bristol City on day one but didn't really get into his stride until Gregory left and Mick Harford took over. Harford had been the assistant manager at Colchester where Ephraim had enjoyed a great time on loan the previous season and seemed to know how to get the best out of Ephraim at QPR. He scored against the U's at Layer Road in Harford's first matcg and at Loftus Road against Hull before his temporary contract expired and he returned to West Ham. Rangers moved quickly in the January transfer window to secure his signature permanently for a fee in the region of £800k. He made his second debut in the FA Cup defeat at Chelsea. Ephraim joined West Ham United as a trainee in July 2004. The 19 year-old, who is a graduate of the West Ham academy, was regarded as one of the club's hottest prospects. Ephraim was sent out on loan to Colchester United to gain some much-needed first team experience last season and made 21 appearances in all competitions, scoring once, against Barnsley.
