Saints have allegedly been joining scouts from Tottenham Hotspur, Bournemouth, verton, Villa and Swansea in watching Bordeaux recently.

The players who are being watched are Henri Saivet and Wahbi Khazri

Saivet 25 is a Senagalese international and has recently been converted from a forward into a central midfielder and scored a superb goal at Anfield in the Europa league recently.

Khazri who at 24 is a year younger is more of a playmaker and the watching Saints scouts saw him set up the only goal of Bordeaux's game from a corner.

Again how concrete these rumours are is yet to be seen, certainly Saints strategy means that they are continuosly monitoring players across Europe, but that doesn't mean that they are on the verge of a bid.

perazi added 08:40 - Dec 8 If there was any likelihood of these rumours bearing fruit, at least they are touting rumours about players of the type we need!! Attacking mid-fielders. With the reference to Paul Mitchell, I sometimes wonder whether his defection to Spurs has been a bigger recruitment loss to Saints than was initially thought.
