Dodds: Lincoln play better football than Dale Tuesday, 25th Sep 2007 17:17 Perennial long ball specialists Lincoln City have been labelled as playing better football than Dale by former Dale striker Louis Dodds. Dodds joined Lincoln City in the Summer and has had a relatively successful time with the Imps since. He's notched a total of three goals for the Sincil Bank side in seven appearances, making him top scorer, but in an interview with the LCFC official website, he's clearly been bumped on the head by one of those Lincoln long balls, as he's declared his love for the Lincoln way of playing.
He told the LCFC official website: "Lincoln play a lot less direct football than we used to at Rochdale. It's a lot better for me here because we try to play the ball around the midfield so I get more of the ball.
"I would love to sign for the club permanently if they wanted me. It's a good club with a nice set-up and we play the right kind of football. I have set myself the target of getting into double figures for goals and to play 30 games over the course of the season."
Dodds spent a couple of months on loan at Spotland last season scoring twice in twelve appearances. Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
