Hard work has got Pompey here - now more is needed Thursday, 12th Apr 2018 22:02 by pompey-fans.com staff Hard work is needed to keep Pompey in the play-off hunt, says Kenny Jackett ahead of the trip to Plymouth this weekend. The Fratton boss says it's the efforts of players and fans that have got the Blues in the thick of the play-off race - and there can be no let-up now. Jackett told the club website: 'We’re delighted that our season is still open and we’re one of the sides in there fighting for the top six. You look at other results and Wimbledon beating Charlton on Tuesday aided us, but ultimately we have to help ourselves. 'There have been some really big games for us recently that we’ve needed to win in order to keep pace and we’ve managed to give ourselves a chance. The players have responded very well and so have the fans — they’ve got behind the team and helped us pick up results. 'That’s put us in the position where we find ourselves now and it’s another crunch weekend for us to look forward to — long may that continue. We’re on 62 points right now and have to stay positive, working hard to earn everything that we can get.' Jackett has no new injury concerns for the trip west.
