Pompey want fans to be their flexible friends Monday, 10th Aug 2020 22:04 by pompey-fans.com staff Pompey are aiming to be fans' flexible friends as they announce a new scheme to cope with the unknown quantities of the season ahead. For £25 a head the Blues are offering a flexi season ticket which will allow people to secure their seat but not be obligated to go to every game. The club said they had undertaken consultation with the Tony Goodall Fans’ Conference and Heritage & Advisory Board. A club statement said: 'There is the likely prospect of some Fratton fixtures taking place behind closed doors and/or with a reduced capacity, therefore Pompey are offing a financially flexible ‘base’ membership. 'By joining the £25 flexi-season ticket scheme, existing season ticket holders can ensure they are able to watch selected matches, while also securing the ‘right to retain’ their existing seat for the following campaign.' Pompey said there were a number of benefits: - The ‘right to buy’ tickets for home games played with a reduced capacity on a rotational basis - The ‘right to retain’ your seat for the 2021/22 season, while having no obligation to attend matches for the 2020/21 season - Group yourself with family and friends to ensure you attend the same games together - An exclusive pin badge The club added: 'The flexi-season ticket ensures that fans will not have to part with a large upfront payment while there is no guarantee of when — or how many — supporters can return to football grounds. Instead, they will have the opportunity to buy match tickets on a fair and equal basis while the Fratton Park capacity is reduced.'
