No complacency - Pompey will give Linnets respect in FA Cup Monday, 9th Nov 2020 21:43 by pompey-fans.com staff Joe Gallen expects a difficult test when Pompe host National League side King's Lynn Town in the second round of the FA Cup. The Linnets won at Port Vale to reach round two and have never faced Pompey before. The tie will be played over the weekend of November 27-30 - with no fans allowed in, of course. Pompey assistant manager Joe Gallen told the club website: 'It's a team we've never played before, so it's certainly an interesting tie and one we'll look forward to. 'We're pleased to be at home and certainly won't underestimate our opponents. Hopefully we can produce a good performance and make it through to the next round. We played Altrincham at this stage of the competition last season and have taken on other non-league sides during our time at the club. 'They're always difficult contests and this one will be no different, so we'll have to play well when the game comes along in a few weeks.'
