Pompey skipper reflects on a great end to a mixed week

Tom Naylor felt Pompey's dominant performance against Peterborough was the perfect response to their poor showing at Blackpool.
The skipper scored another super strike to make the points safe after Jack Whatmough had headed the Blues into the lead.
Naylor told the Pompey website he was pleased with a win he said was needed after the defeat at Bloomfield Road.
'I thought it was a great performance – especially after what happened on Tuesday night at Blackpool. It was a massive three points and we know we needed to improve after a really flat showing. But we were brilliant,' he said.
The skipper is delighted by his run of scoring - and is perhaps quietly eyeing up making double figures this season.
He said: 'It’s another goal for my tally and I’m over the moon with that. I struck it well and the keeper had no chance. I’m taking every game as it comes, but I’ve never got double figures before and there’s a lot of the season still to go.
'I was buzzing after scoring in the Fratton End and it felt like it was packed. I know the fans have waited a long time. It’s so much better with them there and they got us through a period when we had to defend for around 10 minutes.
'When I brought the lads out for the warm-up, it sent shivers down my spine. We’ve really missed it and hopefully there can be more in the ground in the new year.'
Pompey are set to field a young side in the EFL Trophy at Cheltenham on Tuesday night.
