Pompey will be happy to be on the road this weekend - and boss John Mousinho sees no reason they can't build on a decent spell of away form.

After four straight home defeats for the Blues, pulling them right into the relegation battle, there's no worries over the fact they're away for the next two - at QPR on Saturday then at Norwich on Good Friday.

'For one reason or another, we haven’t quite managed it at home recently. We need a bit of luck, but also to make our own luck,' Mousinho told the Pompey website. 'You want that rub of the green and we also need to have a little bit more care about our shots and more purpose in our attacking play.

'We’re feeling confident going into games and creating a lot of chances, so we need to start capitalising on that. But while we’re not necessarily enjoying those home comforts right now, we have – to some extent – reversed that on the road.

'We’ve already won more away matches so far than in the whole of last season. We’re confident we can build on that. Sides are perhaps happy to sit back and defend deep when they come to our place, but we expect QPR to play on the front foot on Saturday.

'They have been unlucky in a few games recently, but were excellent at Leicester last weekend – it was one of the more impressive displays I’ve seen in the Championship lately. They have a lot of attacking threat and experience, so I expect a good game – and also a tough one – at Loftus Road.

'Things have really tightened up at the bottom of the table heading into the international break, so we want to go there and win.'

Harvey Blair could be on the bench at QPR while Andre Dozzell and Keshi Anderson are on course to rejoin the squad for the Easter weekend games - which follow next week's international break.
