Refwatch Preview: Bradford (h) Monday, 31st Mar 2008 23:11 Bradford are the visitors to Spotland on Tuesday night and we kick off our build up with a look at the man in charge of the game. Nigel Miller was down as the referee for this game in January, but we saw him at Stockport a fortnight ago.
Seeing Miller twice in three weeks would be a painful experience, so in his place will be Andy Haines, who is in his first season on the league list.
He took charge of Dale’s home game against Macclesfield in September and the magnificent 4-3 win at Chesterfield in January, so this will be our third meeting with him this term.
Andy has also refereed Bradford this season, as he was in the middle for their Boxing Day encounter with Lincoln.
Mr Haines, from Sunderland, finished 2006/07 by refereeing Oxford’s play-off semi-final at home to Exeter.
He has taken charge of 21 games since August, including two at Gigg Lane. He was also due to be in the middle at London Road on Saturday for Peterborough’s clash with Lincoln.
