Fringe duo stake claim for part in Pompey run-in
Tuesday, 16th Apr 2019 22:03 by pompey-fans.com staff

Adam May and Louis Dennis scored goals for a Pompey reserve side that reminded Kenny Jackett they are ready to assist the promotion run-in if needed.

Neither player has featured too much in Jackett's plans this season but they put themselves into the manager's thoughts by finding the target at the Bournemouth training ground.

Andy Cannon and Viv Solomon-Otabor also continued to prove their fitness in the runout.

May gave Pompey a half-time lead with a finish after Cannon and Haji Mnoga set him up

It was 2-0 on 52 minutes after Mnoga’s run into the box was halted and Dennis put away the penalty.

On 76 minutes, Brad Lethbridge played in Dennis for his second. Pompey: Bass; Mnoga (Kavanagh 83), Walkes (Hancott 62), Casey, Haunstrup; May, Morris (Whiting 46); Lethbridge (Johnston 80), Cannon, Solomon-Otabor (Teggart 65); Dennis. Subs not used: Durin, Flint
