The latest central defender to be linked with a move to St Mary's is a 6ft 5 inch giant playing for Napoli.
Saints are being linked with Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly who is also allegedly attracting interest from Everton.
The Frenchman who only joined Napoli last summer from Genk has just turned 24 in June and as you can imagine from his height is a central defender.
He has yet to get anywhere above U20 level Internationally for his native France.
I would not imagine that Koulibaly is Saints fist choice but may be a fall back option if Celtic hold firm on Virgil Van Dijk, mind you Saints have been linked with just about every central defender in Europe this summer and this could be nothing more than the players agent trying to raise interest in his client, Everton and Saints are the two most prominent Premier League clubs with issues in the centre of defence and the link could be nothing more than that.
