Crewe Tomorrow
Crewe Tomorrow

Last season saw a deeply satisfying 2-1 win at Gresty Road, and we need more of the same tomorrow. How horrendous would it be if we lose? Just imagine the puerile mocking screeched in our direction from those train-spotting buffoons. It's too hideous to consider.

Crewe probably fancy it right now. Our 'Iron Curtain' defence has had a wretched time on their recent travels; three conceded at Gillingham, five at Rotherham, and four at Burnley - who proved to be a very decent Championship side. They beat Sheffield Utd by the same scoreline a couple of wek prior to our FA Cup clash at Turf Moor. Added to that is the fact that leading goalscorer Marc Richards is currently out of action. Crewe must be favourites for this game...

New Manager Jim Gammon does have a couple of targets lined up in the transfer market, Strikers of course, however, it's unlikely we'll see anybody in before tomorrows game.
