A Sticky Morning At The Vetch

Home > Story Index >A Sticky Day At The Vetch

Club staff had a bit of a shock at the Vetch this morning when they arrived to find that someone had super glued the locks of the ground and the club shop after the doors had been shut last night and a locksmith was called to let them in.
Whoever did the attack had super glued both locks on the club shop as well as the Padlock on the main gates meaning that it was impossible to get the keys into the locks this morning to open the ground and the shop ahead of the game against Carlisle.
One can only presume that this is a further protest against the way that the club is slowly being destroyed by the likes of Mike Lewis and Tony Petty and is further evidence of supporter feeling against the current regime.
The cost of calling out the locksmith to free the locks will be met by the club which is in severe financial trouble as it is and with the sale of Matthew Bound impending there is little money in the club to finance things already.
Would you have liked to have seen the look on Mike Lewis' face this morning? (forgetting the traditional hangover!!)
