16th Place With Reading and Birmingham Up?? Sunday, 3rd Aug 2008 13:43 The News of the World - the hotbed of football accuracy - is predicting a 16th place position for the Swans next season And despite that low prediction the paper does state that the Swans may turn out to be the division's surprise package as Bristol City were last season - and I am sure that pretty much every Swansea fan would take a season like Bristol City's one of last year!! Jason Scotland - 29 goals to his name last season - is listed as the team's key man and the 16th place prediction is above the likes of Watfor d(17th), Sheffield Wednesday (18th) and Barnsley (21st) The paper predicts promotion glory for Reading and Birmingham whilst a season of doom is predicted for Plymouth, Southampton and Blackpool. If they have everything spot on then Derby, QPR, Crystal Palace and Wolves will compete in the play offs. Interestingly, the paper predicts that all three promoted sides will stay up.
