Norwich To Field Weakened Team
Norwich To Field Weakened Team

Norwich City could be fielding a weakened team tonight.

All indications from the Norwich camp are they might have to put out a weakened side for the JPT area semi final at St Mary's

Norwich have lost a little ground to Charlton after their draw at yeovil on Saturday and their priority remains an automatic promotion spot, with a tough game against fellow promotion chasers Huddersfield on Saturday, followed by a Boxing Day home game v Millwall and a tough trip to Walsall, Paul Lambert wont be wanting to take too many risks ahead of this period.

Especially as several of his side are carrying knocks already and the Canaries manager haas publicly stated he wont risk those players unless they are 100%, amongst those feeling sore are 13 goal striker Grant Holt who is up there with Rickie Lambert with 13 League goals and six cup so far this term.

Lambert, the Canaries boss, knows that unlike Saints his squad isnt big enough to be able to cover injuries to key players, so chances are that tonight Norwich might prioritise and  concentrate on making sure they staay in with a chance of automatic promotion, if they lose to Huddersfield they will be dragged back down into the play off chasing pack.
