Lisbie Returns On Loan Monday, 3rd Aug 2009 16:13 Former U's striker Kevin Lisbie has today returned to the club on a season-long loan from Ipswich Town. Lisbie left the U's to join Town last summer for around £750,000, after scoring 17 goals in 43 games (40 starts) in his only season at Layer Road.
The 30-year-old made 45 appearances (26 starts) for Town last season, scoring seven goals (including one against the U's in the League Cup), but has been out-of-favour since Roy Keane became boss at Portman Road. The loan deal is until the end of May 2010, which means should the U’s make the play-offs at the end of the season, then Lisbie will be eligible to play in these games.
