The much publicised transfer request by Craig Dawson has reportedly been turned down by the club according to Sky Sports in one of their "skysports understands....." stories.

So is this a development to the story or is this just Sky Sports putting their own spin on the story following Keith Hill voicing his displeasure with the transfer request at the weekend?

Well you'd have to assume that given that Sky jumped in with the big story in the first place about Dawson wanting to be transfer listed, then they are probably quite likely to have some inside information on this transfer.

As we said at the time, this is a story set to run and run over the Summer as the vultures start circulating over a player who is arguably seen as being the hottest prospect in the lower divisions.
