Accrington Stanley will be visiting Vale Park next Saturday. Accy are doing alright for themselves at the moment, they are currently sixth in the league, however, despite this, will not be able to live with us. Too strong, too skillful, too determined. You have to feel a little bit of sympathy for our opponents.

So, what do we know about our visitors? We all know the infamous milk advert from back in the 80's - "Accrington Stanley? Who are they?", but did you know that ex-England cricketer and now commentator David 'Bumble' Lloyd comes from Accrington? No? Well, he does, as does Graeme Fowler - ex Lancashire and England batsmen, as does 'Mystic Meg', as does Hayley from Coronation Street and 80's Man U bobber Mike Duxbury. It's clearly a fascinating place.

Footballing wise I know absolutely nothing about Accy Stan. Off the top of my head I can't think of a single player in their squad.

We are in sparkling form. Well, actually we haven't been playing particularly that well, but we are winning games. We can now intimidate our opponents, and we have a strong physical presence through the squad, and it's great to see. We are a Club who will be waving goodbye to the basement divison come next May.

Gary Roberts will be available for this game after missing the fun at Macclesfield through suspension. Doug Loft is desperate to get himself back into the first team, and on-loan signing Jemal Johnson will be hoping that he gets more opportunities than Bell-Baggie to show us what he is capable of!

Probable Starting line-up:- Stuart Tomlinson, Adam Yates, Gareth Owen, John McCombe, Lee Collins, Louis Dodds, Gary Roberts, Anthony Griffith, Sean Rigg, Marc Richards, Justin Richards.
