Shrewsbury Tonight Tuesday, 28th Sep 2010 08:45 by portvale4ever Top-Of-The-League Vale take on second-in-the-table Shrewsbury tonight in a massive game at Vale Park. This fixture has become a little bit 'spicy' over the past couple of seasons, particularly after the game at their gaff a couple of seasons ago when a Marc Richards goal six minutes into stoppage time gave us a 2-1 victory. Since then Shrewsbury seem to have had an issue with us. They always seem to want to have a bit of a 'pop' at us. Very strange. Anyway, we go into this game on the back of four straight league victories without conceding a single goal. We are sparkling right now. I imagine Micky Adams will name the same side tonight that started against Accy Stan on Saturday, with Skipper Tommy Fraser continuing on the right. How fantastic have we been defensively? The settled back four of Yates, Owen, Boom Boom and Collins have been rock solid. The new Vale 'Iron Curtain'. Jemal Johnson impressed me when he came on against Accy, plenty of pace and skill, and set up Louis Dodds perfectly for the killer goal, hopefully we'll be seeing plenty more of Johnson before he returns to the MK Dons. Expected line-up:- Stuart Tomlinson, Adam Yates, Gareth Owen, John McCombe, Lee Collins, Tommy Fraser, Anthony Griffith, Gary Roberts, Sean Rigg, Marc Richards, Justin Richards. My prediction: Port Vale 2-1 Shrewsbury Town Vale against Shrewsbury youtube stuff. Click here... and here...
