Everything Will Be Back To Normal On Saturday
Everything Will Be Back To Normal On Saturday

There's a little bit of doom & gloom gathering over Vale after last weekends disappointment at Oxford and last nights inconsequential defeat at the hands of Carlisle in the Paint Pot Cup. Well, fear not, Saturdays trip to bottom-of-the-table Hereford will undoubtedly see us back to winning ways.

There's nowt to get mithered about. Last Saturday was a freak result, Gareth Owen equalising in the second minute of added on time before Oxford somehow found a winner some twenty seconds later. That'll never happen again. Away, we really didn't deserve anything from that game - we were pretty awful against a very 'up-for-it' Oxford.

Last night Micky rang the changes for the trip to Carlisle and despite entering the final fifteen minutes with a two-goal lead we finished the ninety minutes locked at 2-2. Penalties became our undoing as Carlisle marched on towards the third round. Does anyone really care about this competition?

We are still three points clear at the top, and are still the best side in this dismal league.

Prediction: Hereford Utd 0-3 Port Vale

Hopefully we will be seeing Justin Richards back amongst the scorers ,he's looked a like shaky in front of goal during the last few games and has missed some proper sitters.
