A Point Gained Or Two Dropped?
A Point Gained Or Two Dropped?

Vale remain top of League 2 despite only managing a 1-1 draw against bottom placed Hereford United. Our hosts even had to play the last hour with just ten men, however, we were still unable to find a way through.

Keeper Stuart Tomlinson was our star, making a first half penalty save to keep us on level terms. Marc Richards grabbed the Vale goal from the penalty spot, equalising after Hereford had taken the lead.

It's a little bit of a worry, our current form is not good, the 'spark' seems to have disappeared and we need to find it again. Justin Richards is struggling a bit at the moment, his composure in front of goal has clearly gone - he is snatching at chances and desperately needs a goal for the sake of his confidence. Unfortunately we don't really have any competition for places up front, we are very much reliant on the Richards twins.

We should be beating teams like Hereford, and beating them comfortably. Next Saturday we have Gillingham at home, and really need to take three points. Despite being top of the league the storm clouds are beginning to gather over Vale Park...
