This has always been a moot point. As I understand it local radio have never paid for coverage of either football or rugby league.
I have always maintained that they should but the BBC contend otherwise.

McLaughlin's stats of games actually played against possible games must be very low - even last season he was injury plagued. After being signed by KH on his way to Scotland last January transfer window I assume his contract expires at the end of the season?
Shame, he always looked good when he actually played, but he may find it difficult to find another contract. At least it allowed us to use Luke and look where that has led!
