O'Connor Back for Reserves
Midfielder or full-back Shane O’Connor returns to action with the reserves this afternoon when they take on Southend United at Playford Road (KO 2pm). The 20-year-old has been sidelined since a bout of suspected appendicitis forced him out of the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for their friendly in Cyprus.
Also in Chris Kiwomya’s squad for this afternoon’s game are Troy Brown, Luke Hyam, Conor Hourihane and Tom Eastman.
Boss Paul Jewell is moving out of his hotel and into a house today and says the reserve match will give him a chance to get away from domestic duties: "I’ll probably get to the game, that’s a good excuse for someone else to pack all the stuff away. My wife can do all that!”
