Bury Town 0 U's 3
Colchester United have maintained their unbeaten pre-season run, comfortably beating Bury Town 3-0 at Ram Meadow this afternoon.
Brian Wilson opened the scoring with a volley from the edge of the area just before the half time break.
John-Joe O'Toole doubled the U's lead early in the second half, tapping in from close range after Kayode Odejayi headed Ian Henderson's chipped cross against the bar.
Steven Gillespie scored the third, rifling home a loose ball just inside the box, before being subbed off with an injury.
The game saw United debut their new yellow away kit, while Karl Duguid played his first game with the first team since re-signing, playing 45 minutes in central midfield.
U's: Cousins (Pentney), Wilson (White), Okuonghae (Eastman), Bender (Heath), Coker (Rose), Duguid (Izzet), Bond (Henderson), O'Toole (James), Gillespie (Arnott), Odejayi (Vincent), Wordsworth. Not used: Baldwin, Hamilton.
