Dawson wins U-21 Call Up
Former Dale defender Craig Dawson has won his first call up to the England Under 21 squad.
Whilst Dawson has yet to make an appearance in the Premiership so far, he's done enough to convince those at the FA that he is good enough for the international stage.
He has been called into Stuart Pearce's 27 man squad for the upcoming matches with Azerbaijan and Israel. The Azerbaijan game will take place on Thursday 1st Septembe at Watford FC, whilst the Israel game will take place at Barnsley FC on Monday 5th September. Any Dale supporters looking at going to either of these two games will find admission prices as being £10 for adults and £5 for under sixteens.
Dawson won't be the only Rochdale lad in the U-21 squad as Middlesboro's Joe Bennett also features. He was born in Rochdale and lived in the town up until around the age of ten.
