West Ham Now Favourites For The Title

At least in the eyes of the bookmakers.

The latest odds on winning the Championship have seen West Ham at 6/4 with Saints now at 7/4, meaning the bookmakers feel that the Hammers are far more likely to win the title than Saints.

How much of an impact Saints defeat at Bristol has had on the latest odds is hard to tell short term, but in general West Ham's odds are shortening whilst Saints have drifted slightly, Saints still reamin second favourites at 2/1 to get automatic promotion after West Ham, however interestingly the bookies seemd to have slashed Leicester's odds in recent weeks and that are now third favourites at 3/1 slightly ahead of Middlesbrough with Cardiff coming in fourth place just in front of Birmingham & Leeds as the Championship field starts to sort itself out a little.

At the other end of the table, its still pretty much the same as regards relegation odds, but as you would expect Bristol City are starting to drift out whilst it wont come as too much of a surprise that Pompey are starting to shorten and although they are still 7th from bottom in the relegation stakes, if you want to get money on them going down, the advice is to do it sooner than later as Bristol City's win didnt drag them out of the bottom three, but it did bring them to within one point of Pompey.
