Blues Again Linked With Robertson

Scottish reports are again linking the Blues with a move for out-of-contract Dundee United midfielder Scott Robertson. The Dundee Evening Telegraph claims the Blues are "well down the road to securing" the 27-year-old’s signature.

Capped twice by Scotland, Robertson, who was first mentioned in connection with Town earlier in the month, is expected to leave Tannadice this summer with League One MK Dons and Brentford having previously been linked.

Robertson started his career with his current club’s greatest rivals Dundee, making his senior bow while on loan with Peterhead in 2004.

In 2008, with his contract up, the 5ft 8in tall central midfielder, by now the skipper at Dens Park, moved across his home city to the Terrors.

Robertson, who scored seven times in 41 appearances last season, picked up a Scottish Cup winners’ medal in 2010 when he came on as a sub as his side beat Ross County 3-0.

Earlier this month the Blues were linked with a move for Robertson’s Dundee United team-mate Gavin Gunning.
