Hill returns to Spotland
All the talk today was of a return to Spotland of former Dale manager Keith Hill as Dale were given a home draw against Barnsley in the Capital One Cup.
Of course, it won't just be Keith Hill returning to Spotland. There will be more former Dale players than there was at the Town Hall Centenary Do a few years back. Also coming with Hill will be his assistant David Flitcroft, David Perkins, Scott Wiseman, Matty Done, and Kelvin Etuhu.
But the focus will most certainly be on Keith Hill has he takes charge of his side in what is a near repeat of the first round tie two years ago that Dale came away as 1-0 winners thanks to a late Anthony Elding goal.
The game will take place at Spotland on what is likely to be Tuesday 14th August and it will be the first game of the 2012-13 season due to the late start of the League campaign.
