Dawson set for GB call up
Former Dale defender Craig Dawson is set to be named in Stuart Pearce's squad for the Olympics when it is announced on Monday.
With Euro 2012 now over and done with, the build up to the 2012-13 season will be joined by Olympics fever as the home nations contribute a side to the football tournement for the first time since 1960.
Having impressed for Pearce at Under 21 level, it is widely expected that this will see Dawson make the step up to represent Great Britain in Pearce's squad.
The first game will see the Olympic squad take on Brazil in a friendly at Middlesboro on 20th July, before the competitive games against Sengal, UAE and Uruguay in July and August at Manchester, London and Cardiff respectively.
