Do we need another defender ?
After a third successive defeat Saints fans are wondering whether the Club still need to invest in another defender ?
The signing of Wayne Thomas (pictured) is obviously a step in the right direction, but with Claus Lundekvam out injured and if history is anything to go by, Darren Powell wont exactly play most of the season, Saints are very short at the back,
But its not just in the centre, at left back there are only two real options either Vignal or Skacel and on the other side neither Ostlund or Wright have been convincing so far.
So the likelyhood is that Saints will have to sell before the transfer deadline if they want to fund another incoming player, in fact make that Saints HAVE to sell, Saffri was apparently funded from the sale of Pele for one million and the arrival of Thomas for £1.2 million means that we are in deficit at the moment.
With that in mind i think that the next two weeks will be a hive of activity, its only a question of in which positions.
