FIRST GAME:Swans v Notts County 1978
BEST MOMENT:Ironically being miserable, its got nothing to do with the Div 1 days or the more recent bits of success e.g. Wembley, promotion. For me, it was the last game of the 84-85 season, when the 0-0 draw against Bristol City kept us in the (old) Div 3 and stopped us doing the 1st to the 4th in successive seasons. A warm evening in May, the ground packed to the rafters, atmosphere, ing on the intimidating. I remember a copper getting his helmet nicked and trouble flaring up all over the place. The season had finished the Saturday before for all other clubs and we needed one point. Jimmy Melia, Burnley's manager was there, as it was them who went down if we could avoid defeat. I can't remember if it was true, bit I'm sure Jimmy Rimmer tipped a last minute Bristol effort onto the bar, and I'd like to think that they needed to win the game to get promoted...although I think that's fantasy. Anyway what a night. Granted we went straight down the following season, but for one night only, it felt like we'd just won the league
WORST MOMENT:All last season really; even in those dark days of the 85-86 season you felt there was some hope, last season was just misery and humiliation.
