Fact or Fiction?

This Site & The Net - Are The Knockers Right?

Home >Story Index> JackArmy.net - Fact Or Fiction????

Whether you support Liverpool or Lincoln City, you can have your say and let the whole world see it. No longer do fans have to scour their local papers for snippets of news or trawl through teletext looking for info like junkies after their next fix. Internet journalism is taking over from the local evening paper "hacks" whether they like it or not and it all means more news and information for the people who really matter………

THE FANS.

This is all obviously a good thing isn't it? Every sensible person on the planet would agree with that last statement, but as usual there are still people out there who you can't please. People who don't like reading FACTS, people who only like to read GOOD NEWS, people who hate the idea of someone else knowing more than they do. So what do these people do when faced with stories that they don't want to read? Simple - They criticise them, but they don't stop at criticising the stories, they then decide to criticise the individuals who write them and try and rubbish all the hard work that these people put in, supplying us, "The Fans", with the information that we are all entitled too.

A recent example of this criticism was a story regarding the involvement in Swansea City F.C. of Cardiff businessman Martin Barnes. Mel Nurse met with Barnes less than one week after it was revealed on this site. That's a fact, not scaremongering or rumour but FACT. Just because there is no investment from Barnes declared at the moment does not make it untrue. Now certain people didn't like this story, in fact they have turned the whole thing into a personal crusade against Phil Sumbler and Jackarmy.net!!! So, what's the real problem here then Mr Ian "Sayad"???

Surely it can't be the story itself can it? A story which we've already proved to be fact, a story that came from jackarmy.net's usual sources. Sources I may add who are totally 100% reliable. Perhaps the real reason behind it all is simple jealousy, a simple case of hating the fact that someone else knows someone and something that you don't!!!. So give it a rest Ian and don't criticise stories that you simply don't want to read. This site will always do what is best for the supporters of Swansea City Football Club and that means reporting the facts. Like it or not, things are not always a bed of roses when you're a Swans fan, but if the fans should know something, Jackarmy.net will tell them. Good news or bad news, if you don't like it, simply "hit" the back button on your browser, that's what its there for and one last thing…….. If you don't like the news

DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER!!!

While we're on the subject of the internet and its users. Let's take a look at another phenomenon in the Swansea and West Wales area, namely the constant criticism of so called "internet fans". What the hell is an "internet fan" anyway? If we were to believe the people who criticise the "internet whingers" you'd think that all fans with internet access don't actually go to games at all! We're all to busy moaning at anything and everything from behind our keyboards all day! The people I know from this site and others are some of the most loyal Swans fans on the planet. People who travel all over the country following the team they love, people who haven't missed a home match in years and people who are the first to dip into their pockets for any fund-raising activities (you only have to look at Rogers Race night to confirm that). These "internet fans" are the "lifeblood" of Swansea City F.C. Who fought the war against the cockney scumbag???

Yes, you've guessed it "internet whingers". We all knew Petty was trouble before the b d even arrived on Swansea! While other fans told us to "give him a chance" we armed ourselves for the inevitable war that was about to take place. Protest were organized via "the net", I'm even led to believe that the infamous "North Bank Alliance" are all regular internet users. For God's sake even two of our directors, David Morgan and Leigh Dineen are "internet fans" and have been for years!

So when the likes of Reeco and the Supporters Trust were organising meetings in the Patti Pavilion and the North Bank Alliance were producing the "crook report" and plastering the city in "PETTY OUT" posters where were the fans who criticized them??? I'll tell you where they were, they were sat on their fat a es in their cosy living rooms phoning Wyn Evans on "Swansea till' I die" to criticize the very people who were saving their club!!!

So the next time you hear someone criticising the "internet fans", politely remind them that if it wasn't for those "whingers", they'd probably have no football to go and watch on a Saturday afternoon and they'd have to sit in front of their televisions like zombies watching the sterile, passionless spectacle that parades itself as football on Sky Sports 1.

Then again, they'd probably prefer that anyway!

Until next week…………………JACK ARMY!!!
