BJB Day 53

Jason Chooses The Activity In The House

Home >Story Index> Day 53 In The Big Jack Brother House

14.07.03 - 9.03am - The housemates are awoken by a request from Big Jack Brother for Jason to come to the diary room. Today he will pick the activity that will keep the housemates amused for the day. Jason tells Big Jack Brother that he has always wanted to be an actor and he would like the housemates to act out some scenes from famous plays over the course of the day to help him in his dream.
14.07.03 - 11.17am - Four separate scripts have arrived in the house and the housemates are to act them out. The first one that they have decided to act is the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet. First up they have Myra playing Juliet and Leon as Romeo. The scene starts to go wrong when Leon confuses Romeo with former Swans midfielder David Romo and starts to respond in a French accent. It gets worse when Myra genuinely cannot see him as he is so small.
14.07.03 - 11.49pm - Second to act out the Romeo and Juliet scene are Jason as Romeo and Leigh as Juliet. Jason tries to climb the balcony and falls off, breaking three bones in the process.
14.07.03 - 12.42pm - The housemates have given up on the Romeo and Juliet acting and have now moved onto a classic episode of Fawlty Towers - The Germans. They are acting the scene when the Moose's head falls on Basil who is being played by Jason (who else?) Myra is providing a very good Sybil impression and Leon as Manuel is a joy to behold. Leigh is playing the Moose but unfortunately when he falls off the wall onto Basil's (Jason's) head he breaks more bones in Jason's body.
14.07.03 - 2.29pm - After lunch, the housemates move onto some improvisation for an episode of EastEnders. Myra has been selected to play Pauline Fowler, Leon is Phil Mitchell, Jason as Dot Cotton, James as Alfie Moon and Leigh as Barry Evans. The scene is in the Queen Vic pub.
14.07.03 - 2.41pm - The housemates are struggling to take this seriously. Although Leon has got the EastEnders accent off to a fine art his line of "Leave it with me an aaaaall sort it" just doesn't work from someone so small. It is decided that Leon can play Willy the dog instead.
14.07.03 - 3.13pm - The housemates agree that Jason's portrayal of Dot Cotton is working very well. Jason is complaining about every ailment possible even if he does believe that 'My Charlie' is something to do with drugs. Again, Leon now playing Dot's son Nasty Nick is just not working as it should!
14.07.03 - 6.39pm - The last scene that the housemates are acting out is one from Casualty. Leigh, James, Myra and Leon are playing hospital staff while Jason is, unsurprisingly, playing a patient. The script soon breaks down when Jason starts describing ailments that are not in the script and the rest of the housemates are unsure as to whether they are real or if he has just made them up, Jason assures them that he has had each of the ailments that he has mentioned.
14.07.03 - 9.17pm - After the acting has finished, Leigh asks Jason a question that has been bugging him all day. "Tell me Jason" he says "Why do you want to take up acting?" Jason replies that the reason is simple "Because to break a leg is considered good luck" Myra mumbles something about breaking a leg or two for him.
14.07.03 - 11.02pm - The housemates head to bed after another day. There are just eleven days left now of the Big Jack Brother experience and four of the five housemates will see it through to the very last week. However, this week the public will vote out one of the housemates - you can help decide who by casting your vote at the link below.
