Brian Murphy was signed in July 2003 after impressing Brian Flynn during a pre-season friendly at Manchester City. He had been offered a new contract at Maine Road but decided to reject it preferring instead the chance to challenge for first team football. With an injury to Roger Freestone sustained in pre-season, Murphy has that chance and it will be interesting to see if he takes it. |
