The Football League Trophy Results

The Football League Trophy was founded in 1983 for clubs in the bottom two divisions of the football league. Bar it's inaugural year in 1983/84, the Swans have appeared in every competition, winning it once in 1994 after a penalty win over Huddersfield at Wembley.

The competition has had many different sponsors over the years as follows

1989/91 - Leyland Daf Cup (LDF)

1991/94 - Autoglass Trophy (AGT)

1994/2000 - Auto Windscreens Shield (AWS)

2000/05 - LDV Vans Trophy (:LDV)

2005-6 - Football League Trophy (FLT)

2006 - The Johnstones Paint Trophy (JPT)
