Duffy's Double Determination

It's safe to say that Darryl Duffy's permanent switch to Swansea has not got off toe the best of starts. Just one goal and now a spell on the sidelines is not the start the former Hull player wanted - especially as he grabbed 5 goals whilst on loan last term.

However, whilst it would be easy for him to mope around and feel hard done by he is now more determined to get back to fitness and into the side to prove his doubters wrong and show that Swansea were right to part with a quarter of a million for him back in the summer.

Speaking in today's News of the World, Duffy said "It's been a bit stop-start for me and it's been a frustrating time. I felt strong in pre-season and was raring to go, but the ball just hasn't seemed to fall for me yet.

"When i was on loan here, everything was going in and I couldn't stop scoring. But now the goalkeeper is pulling off a wonder save, I'm hitting the post or it's been cleared off the line.

"I picked up a groin problem at Leeds but it felt great in training and I felt git enough to play against Swindon. But I had a slight strain and had to go off - the last thing I need because I want to be playing and scoring."
