Southend Midfielder Close To Signing?
Swansea City move their pre-season plans forward with Roberto stating that there are two or three more irons in the fire
The two signings are expected to be Albert Serran and Fede Bessone - an Argentinian midfielder who currently plays for - you guessed it - Espanyol. The third target is reported to be Southend midfielder Mark Gower who is speculated to already be in Swansea ready for his signature to be obtained after talks.
"We are very well advanced with three players," Martinez told the Evening Post.
"With two of them. it's just a matter of getting the medicals done and then, hopefully, we will be able to present them on Thursday.
"Jordi (Gomez) and Gorka (Pintado) will be here. We expect two other new signings as well, while there is a little bit of a situation with the third one so we may have to wait a little while longer.
"The new lads all play in positions we have been trying to strengthen and we're glad we've got the players we wanted."
The Swans are also waiting for news from both Paul Anderson and Febian Brandy but neither are expected to be with the Swans before the weekend.
