Martinez Fears "Long Term Injuries"

Roberto Martinez fears that he could be without Ferrie Bodde and Leon Britton "Long Term"

Ferrie was stretchered off in the first half of Swansea City's 3-2 defeat whilst Britton was replaced in the second half.

The double blow capped a miserable night for the Swans boss who saw his side's unbeaten home league record go and the chance to move into the top 6 pass him by.

Speaking after the game to the official site, Roberto said "We can't say exactly with either of them at the moment until they have scans in the morning.

"The signs do not look good with Ferrie. It feels bad, long-term.

"Brits will have to have a scan as well. He's had the back problem since before the Norwich game and he could be long-term as well.

"My concern is that it could turn out expensive for us if we lose them both.

"The injuries definitely affected the game and I'm convinced that if we hadn't lost the two players we would have won the game.

"But I'm still very proud of my players because I thought we were the better side. When you look at the quality in the Birmingham side we still put them under massive, massive pressure.

"The game should have been over after 40 minutes with the number of chances we created. Birmingham had three shots on target and they scored showing their quality."
