Newport Looking To Keep Hold Of Dean
Newport County want to keep hold of Dean Holdsworth after he is linked with Swans job
Holdsworth was one of several names being linked with the managerial vacancy at Swansea City after he led Newport into the Conference last season - with some ease.
And - not surprisingly - Newport want to hold onto their manager as they prepare for a stab at promotion back to the football league.
Speaking to the South Wales Argus, Newport general manager Tim Harris said “It’s full credit to Dean and everyone at Newport County that his name is cropping up all the time now when new jobs become available
“We haven’t heard anything from Swansea and hope we don’t, because to lose Dean at this time would be a big blow to us.
“We hope he will be with the club for the duration of his contract and he’s busy working towards next season with us.”
