Reading v QPR Betting Preview

Andy Hillman returns to LFW to preview the weekend’s footballing action as QPR head to Reading for potentially one of the worst Super Sunday clashes of all time.

No column since the Wigan game owing to the majority of the LFW staff heading off to Mexico for the week – paid for with Andy’s considerable winnings from this season. Another 5/4 success for him last time out with Southampton winning at Reading.

NAP: Southampton to beat West Brom @ 10/11 Southampton’s last defeat was against us. Since then they’ve won three and drawn three of their last six, as they streak towards the top half of the table. West Brom are in a bit of a funk at the moment, with only one win in six, and Saints are good value at just under evens.

NAP 2: Spurs to beat Wigan @ 20/19

To crowbar in yet another Mario Kart analogy to my work, Wigan are the equivalent of the rubbish first time player who finds themselves dead last, get a golden mushroom on a question mark, and kamikaze their way over the line in sixth on the final lap. That being said, Spurs are ODDS AGAINST, and gunning for the Champions League. Massive, massive value.

QPR related bet: Remy to score anytime @ 17/10

Two teams who can’t score, can’t keep a clean sheet, and can’t do anything other than lose week in, week out, and are almost certain to finish bottom two. What’s not to like? Remy’s pretty much the only reason to watch this game, and at approaching 2/1 to score anytime, that looks like value (who else is going to score for us?)

Keep the dream alive treble: QPR, Spurs & Sunderland all to win @ 19/1

So Spurs are at Wigan on the Saturday, we’re at Reading on the Sunday, and Sunderland are at Villa on the Monday. For those of you still harbouring romantic notions of us staying up, it’s 19/1 for the away treble, and it will have to come in for us to stand any chance of staying up (ha!)
