Posh start for League One Dale
Dale have been handed a home game for the opening game of the season, with Peterborough United being the visitors to Spotland.
The game will already have a couple of connections. The most recent one being the failed bid by Peterborough to sign Dale's Scott Hogan last season with what was believed to amount to a seven figure bid, and further back it was the opening game of the centenary season where Dale were handed a 3-0 thumping at London Road. You can also add to the pot that Keith Hill and Posh boss Darren Ferguson are former team mates from their Wrexham days.
